Sign on your Organization in Support of FY 27 Appropriations

We invite your organization to sign on to our coalition letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee supporting strong Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations for the CDFI Fund and language to ensure timely action on remaining FY 25 and FY 26 Funds.

The letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee thanks appropriators for their past support and urges them to provide $324 million for the CDFI Fund in FY 2027. It also outlines concerns about delays in apportionment and award announcements for FY 2025 and FY 2026, by giving a complete picture of the status of each CDFI Fund program and recommends language to ensure timely action on funds appropriated by Congress.

This letter will include signatures from individual CDFIs and supporters. The deadline to sign on your organization is Wednesday May 27th at Noon ET.

CDFI Caucus Sign-on Letter

Senators Crapo (R-ID) and Warner (D-VA) circulated a sign-on letter to OMB Director Russell Vought urging the release of the FY2025 CDFI allocations and applications. It was signed by 26 Senators.

FY 27 CDFI Fund Senate Appropriations Dear Colleague Sign on Letter

Senators Crapo (R-ID), Daines (R-MT), and Warner (D-VA) lead a bipartisan effort to send a Dear Colleague letter to the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Senate Appropriations Subcommittee requesting $324 million for the CDFI Fund in FY 27. The letter also includes support for bill language that addresses timely obligation of funds.The final letter received 43 signatures, 37 Democrats and 6 Republicans.

FY 27 CDFI Fund Appropriations House Dear Colleague Sign-on Letter

On March 13th 118 members of the House sent signed a letter to the Appropriations Committee requesting $324 million for the CDFI Fund and language requiring Treasury to publish applications and make awards by a certain date for FY 26 and 27.

Crapo-Kim Letter to OMB and Treasury

On October 15, Senator Mike Crapo (R, ID), and Representative Young Kim (R, CA) released a draft letter supporting the CDFI Fund to Treasury Secretary Bessent and OMB Director Vought. The final letter was sent to Treasury and OMB on October 23rd.
