Between 2005 and 2023, there was $653.7 million in total lending from CDFI Fund award recipients, including $56.1 million in loans to businesses and entrepreneurs, $371.6 million in housing development and mortgage lending, $190.8 million in consumer lending, $27.8 million in lending to commercial real estate and community facilities, with the balance going to other activities. A strong commitment to education is what has led Joshua Hays to maintain his academic support and mentoring project, ABC Guidance, which he founded in California in 2010 and expanded to Arizona. ABC Guidance is a non-profit organization that aims to help students at any school grade to be successful in school. Throughout these 13 years they have supported more than 450 students in their academic goals.

In June 2013, Commonwealth Dairy completed a $12-million expansion of its $28.5-million plant to support a new product line. And on Monday, Thomas Moffitt, Commonwealth Dairy's president, returned from Casa Grande, Ariz., where it and its partner, Ehrmann AG, just opened a new facility. The state-of-the art yogurt manufacturing facility in Arizona was built by the same company that built Commonwealth's factory in Brattleboro, said Moffitt, but it's twice the size.
