The project will include 2 facilities on site: Building One for a general aviation hangar and Building Two for a maintenance aircraft hangar. Burchfield & Partners, a minority business enterprise, will form a unique partnership with the Aviation Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas (AWSGD) along with the City of Dallas Aviation Department, local Dallas Independent School Districts, Dallas College, and area aviation-related companies to create opportunities through specialized training for high school/GED graduates and minority residents in low-income areas of South Dallas to move directly into aviation maintenance production employment opportunities.
