Between 2005 and 2023, there was $206.4 million in total lending from CDFI Fund award recipients, including $74.3 million in loans to businesses and entrepreneurs, $56.5 million in housing development and mortgage lending, $37.5 million in consumer lending, $34.8 million in lending to commercial real estate and community facilities, with the balance going to other activities. Beyond Vision is a non-profit organization that has been providing work opportunities, training and services for people with vision loss and blindness for nearly 120 years. To expand their operational capacity, Beyond Vision developed the VisABILITY Center, an adaptive and fully accessible facility that will employ 270 people in five businesses including manufacturing, commercial CNC machining, a customer call center, and US Department of Defense contracts.
