Between 2005 and 2023, there was $318.4 million in total lending from CDFI Fund award recipients, including $63.3 million in loans to businesses and entrepreneurs, $137 million in housing development and mortgage lending, $30.7 million in consumer lending, $76.3 million in lending to commercial real estate and community facilities, with the balance going to other activities. Community Ventures borrower success story
Goodwill Opportunity Campus/Goodwill of West Louisville
The project will consist of the renovation of BUILD’s existing building and construction of an addition, resulting in a transformed 51,000-sq. ft. campus that will become a hub for the Austin neighborhood and for BUILD’s core programs – STEAM education, arts therapy, and physical and mental wellness.
Republic Bank Foundation YMCA
The Republic Bank Foundation YMCA will be a newly constructed 77,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility to improve health equity in west Louisville, Kentucky. This joint venture will feature a new YMCA, a clinic using a patient-centered medical home model, physical therapy practice, counseling services, and a new Republic Bank branch. The new facility will improve healthcare, wellness, and access to financial services in an underserved low-income community.
