As a Native CDFI, funding from the CDFI Fund provides Native communities with access to capital that would otherwise be unavailable. Due to the complexities of tribal lands, traditional banks do not offer the same financial opportunities. Native CDFIs, supported by the CDFI Fund, are bridging this gap by providing equitable access to capital in ways that were previously unheard of.
As an emerging CDFI offering funding and technical assistance to uplift underserved communities and our economy the CDFI appropriation is imperative.
True core CDFIs are the leaders and support mechanisms in rural communities. They are the local trusted partners that positively impact individuals, companies and communities to build equity and hope into areas that are difficult to develop.
I cannot state strongly enough how important CDFIs have been to my community and to the country as a whole. They rely in part — as they should — on federal financial support. Please release funds for use by the many CDFIs in the USA.
