Micro loans give N.J. small businesses a helping hand

Diana DiMonda once worked for the high-powered private-equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, helping to prepare documents for company buyouts. But in the back of her mind, she was thinking about candy. She and her sister, Melissa Tripoli of Nutley, always wanted to run their own business. Their vision was to create a nostalgic candy shop in a quaint downtown.
