One man’s trash proved to be another man’s opportunity for Leland Nelson. Having recognized a need for junk removal services in inner city Harrisburg, Leland developed a plan to launch his own business called Dirty Dog Hauling. All he needed was financing to get his business started. However, like many aspiring African-American entrepreneurs, he struggled to find a traditional bank that would approve a loan. Eventually, he connected with Finanta and completed the application process. Soon after, we provided him with financing to purchase his first dump truck and cover various start-up costs.
