The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City project includes the renovation of the former Minute Circle Friendly House building located at 2405 Elmwood as well as new construction to create the jd Wagner Unit community center that will house a gym, indoor pool, computer lab, art room, multi-purpose space, and many other classrooms.
Central Bank of Kansas City was chartered in August 1950 as a state banking corporation. The bank opened in March 1951 on Truman Road in Northeast Kansas City. In 1975, the bank moved to a larger facility on Independence Avenue still serving Northeast Kansas City.
