A $25,000 grant through the Western Women’s Business Center and Carolina Small Business Development Fund helped Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Services recover after Hurricane Helene severely damaged its Clyde facility. The funding helped furnish its replacement location and purchase a used hearse, allowing the family-owned company to resume serving Western North Carolina families.
