The CDFI Coalition invites members to join us for an upcoming webinar exploring the Community Infrastructure Center (CIC), the Community Power Accelerator (CPA), and the opportunities these resources may provide for CDFIs and the communities they serve.
The Community Infrastructure Center is a platform designed to help scale capital deployment and advance community-led infrastructure projects in historically underserved communities. CIC provides free technical assistance to community project sponsors, tools to help advance projects, and connections to a broad range of funding sources, including impact and institutional investors, philanthropy, public funding programs, and project development expertise.
Earlier this year, the Community Power Accelerator was integrated into the CIC. Originally built and operated by the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR), the CPA is a free online marketplace designed to connect distributed energy project developers with capital providers, including banks, credit unions, CDFIs, and other financial institutions.
The integration of the CPA into the CIC expands the platform’s capacity to help communities develop and finance distributed energy projects that create significant local value.
Join us for a conversation with Sarah Ortner of the Community Infrastructure Center and Jonathan Morgenstein of the National Laboratory of the Rockies to learn more about the CIC and CPA, how these resources work, and the opportunities they may offer CDFIs, financial institutions, and their community stakeholders.
