CDFI Fund Announces First Awards for 2025 | 56 Organizations Across U.S. Will Nearly Receive $8.8 Million

CDFI FUND PRESS RELEASE:

Tuesday, September 30, 2025

WASHINGTON—Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announced that 56 organizations across the country will collectively receive nearly $8.8 million in Technical Assistance (TA) Awards under the fiscal year (FY) 2025 funding round.

These awards reflect Treasury’s commitment to ensuring taxpayer dollars are used effectively and advancing economic opportunity in communities that need it most.

These TA Awards were made using funds appropriated by Congress in FY 2024 that will expire on September 30, 2025, under the Community Development Financial Institutions Program (CDFI Program) and Native American CDFI Assistance Program (NACA Program).

Later this winter, the CDFI Fund anticipates awarding additional CDFI Program TA Awards and Financial Assistance Awards, subject to funding availability.

This represents Treasury’s support for institutions that support growth in rural and other underserved markets.

The CDFI Program makes competitive grant awards nationwide, while the NACA Program directs resources specifically to institutions that primarily serve Native American, Native Alaskan, and Native Hawaii communities.
