Located in the heart of Grand Rapids’ entertainment district, Blue35 is an innovative space designed to foster collaboration, inspiration, and results. The neighborhood is near Grid 70, a nationally acclaimed ideation hub for design and innovation. The neighborhood is highly walkable and features nearby coffee shops, restaurants, and other downtown businesses. Blue35 is home to companies large and small, from solopreneurs in the co-working space to tenants whose offices feature full-floor buildouts.
500 Block

This urban redevelopment project is a showcase project in downtown Flint’s revitalization efforts. The 500 Block Development transforms three historic buildings built between 1880 and 1920 into one mixed-use building with a new corporate headquarters for Rowe Incorporated, a new restaurant, entertainment complex, and a parking structure. Additionally, the fourth floor contains eight loft apartments, two of which are affordable to tenants earning no more than 80% of the area median income. The project relocated over 100 technology-based jobs to Flint where the poverty rate was nearly 45% and unemployment rate almost 4.5times the national average at 25.8%. The project also created 60 temporary construction jobs and 81permanent jobs.

Allen Place Brings New Community Space to Downtown

MCC supported, with other mission-driven partners, the redevelopment and expansion of the Allen Neighborhood Center (ANC) in Lansing, MI in 2020, including the new development of Allen Place apartments. The full project included the redevelopment of an existing, two-story building into a three-story mixed-use development consisting of affordable housing units, community based health care services, a culinary training school, and an accelerator kitchen for food-based entrepreneurs.
American Indian Health & Family Services – New Facility for Health and Wellbeing

Construction of a community health and wellness facility. It will include eight new exam rooms for primary care services, seven therapy rooms, a pharmacy and buildout of dental services. The new facility will enhance healthcare access by centralizing comprehensive healthcare services under one roof, addressing the long-standing disparities in healthcare quality.
