March 13 and 14th

The CDFI Coalition’s Annual Institute is a key event bringing together CDFIs, investors, policymakers, and industry professionals in Washington, DC to advance the mission of community development.

The 2025 Institute is particularly timely as it occurs just after a significant election and ahead of a new presidential administration taking office. With a new Congress and administration on the horizon, the Institute offers a unique opportunity to engage in timely discussions and advocacy about the future of CDFIs, including the preservation of critical funding and resources. This is your chance to connect with decision-makers, network with peers, and gain valuable insights into the policies that will shape the future of community development.

Join us in Washington to be part of the conversation and ensure CDFIs continue to play a vital role in revitalizing underserved communities nationwide.

Navigating a New Washington

With the new administration and a new Congress, CDFIs must tell their stories and advocate for positive federal policy and funding decisions. Discussions will cover new Administration and Congressional agendas, FY25 and FY26 budget priorities, key legislative issues, and the importance of engaging with policymakers to secure support for underserved communities.

Maximizing Financing Tools for Community Development

CDFIs are driving investment and innovation in underserved communities by utilizing tools such as Opportunity Zones, New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credits (HTC), and energy financing programs. Experts and CDFI peers will discuss strategies for leveraging these resources. Additionally, CDFI Investors will share their perspectives on market trends and opportunities to enhance access to capital and drive impactful CDFI financing.

Opportunity to hear from the CDFI Fund

Expanding Opportunity and Reducing Barriers to Wealth-Building

CDFIs play a critical role in advancing opportunities for underserved communities and populations. Discussions will focus on key CDFI mission imperatives, including strategies to promote economic equity and opportunity and reduce barriers to wealth-building.
