The 2021 CDFI Coalition Institute took place virtually on March 9th, 2021. The CDFI Coalition and hundreds of CDFIs and stakeholders from across the country came together for discussions on new federal resources, presentations by private financial institutions and a continued conversation from our past events on the role of CDFIs in fostering racial equity in financial services.

The CDFI Coalition is a national membership organization, which has supported the work of CDFIs to bring access to credit, capital and financial services to low- and moderate-income communities throughout the country since 1992. Each year, the Coalition’s CDFI Institute brings a diverse range of CDFIs from across the country for policy discussions and advocacy.

In 2021, the Coalition invited speakers from the Biden Administration, Senate and House Members, key congressional staff, and federal agency leaders to provide updates on policies and funding for CDFIs.

Our annual CDFI Capitol Hill Advocacy Day that typically coincides with the event took place virtually at a later date, and Institute registrants were invited to participate in virtual meetings organized by the Coalition and a special legislative update webinar in advance.
