NeighborWorks Capital is pleased to extend an $882,400 predevelopment loan to Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford for Zion Crossing, a proposed 95-unit scattered site affordable apartment development located in Hartford, CT. Zion Crossing will include units in 22 existing buildings within a ½ mile radius. Brick Hollow Apartments is a 50-unit apartment complex, Zion Street Mutual Housing has 24 apartments, and seven smaller properties will comprise 21 additional apartments.

Neighborhood Development Services (NDS) recently closed a $752,482 permanent loan with NeighborWorks Capital for Prospect House in Ravenna, OH. By refinancing at an affordable interest rate, NDS will be able to keep 66 apartments affordable for low- and very low-income seniors. NDS purchased and rehabilitated the property in 2007 using LIHTC equity and state/local subsidy loans, which have been maintained through this refinancing.

The Millrace Kitchen & Event Space is named after the property’s history as a series of former mill buildings, the development would provide space for the completion of a licensed commercial kitchen, an outdoor market, pop-up retail space, co-working offices and event space to support local entrepreneurs and generate new revenues.
